WHAT: This two and a half day training is designed for people working in the peer role to understand how to be ethically responsible utilizing the CCAR Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches Curriculum. Using presentations, small group work, and role play to address many areas including: defining the coaching service role, functions, and standards, issues of vulnerability, ethical decision making, performance enhancement and legal issues. Participants who complete this training will: - Understand what ethics are and how to apply to coaching - Learn how to “stay in your lane” as a recovery coach - Understand the decision-making process and developing guidelines - Apply the new learning to your everyday work as a RC.
